Derek Lee has recently been suffering from headaches. After a visit to the hospital he is diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and decides to travel the world before he dies, bringing his best friend Clif, a videographer, along to document their journey.

One night, while trying to get lucky in Paris, Derek bring a girl he meets at the bar back to his hotel room. He is attacked by the girl and left for dead. His friends find him in a bloody mess but he is ultimately fine.

Derick soon starts to go through some life altering changes that not only aid's with his current diagnosis but may in fact bring on a fate for him far worse than death.

So, another found footage film is what we are dealing with here today and I have to be the five billionth person to say that I'm sick of these films. Thankfully for this one, it had gotten the seal of approval from a good friend of mine who is a horror connoisseur. Of course I knew I had to give it a chance due to this and I'm incredibly happy I did!

They took the found footage / documentary style of film and turned it on it's head, making the film and the sub genre feel fresh and new. Something I've been hoping for since the release of The Blair Witch Project, even using their proper names in the film as the staring characters.

The use of Derek's illness is used throughout the film and is made mention of at the end of the film tying everything together in an excellent manner.

The acting was on the decent side. I would not start handing out Oscar's just yet but they do a good job at keeping the story looking realistic.

Some of the effects were spot on while others looked a little too glitchy which took me out of the film a bit but was easily sucked back in by the story itself.

Although I predicted what was happening to Derek a few moments before it was revealed, it still did not take down the quality of the movie one bit.

Another moment that I was able to predict was the final scene due to what is said on a few scenes earlier. Anybody who's loved horror theme'd television series over the years will be able to pick up on it themselves.

This is a must see for anybody who is either a found footage fanatic or anyone who enjoys a good horror that you need to piece together in order to get your answers.
